NILC (Northern Ireland's Lesbian Community) and S.H.A.M. were set up to answer the desperate cries of lesbians throughout our small country. While we don't claim to be perfect, we do try.

Woman-owned and woman-run, we are dedicated to all things female. We understand that even with our individual uniqueness, we like to know there are others around who aren't that different.

S.H.A.M is a young, vibrant publication, open to change and criticism while closed to bigotry. We only want to make a bit of a difference, but sometimes it's the small things that mean the most.

Are there any men hiding behind the scenes?

NO.  S.H.A.M.  is a woman-owned, woman-run business. No men in disguise either (anyone found impersonating a female will be banned and reported to their ISP)

Is it just for lesbians?

NO. Although the name implies it is for the sole purpose of informing lesbians, S.H.A.M. welcomes ALL women. regardless of their sexual orientation or preference.
